Hi, Sparky Here!

Hello,
My name is Mark but everyone calls me Sparky. (Let's just say I "earned" the nick-name!). I'm a Audible subscriber to Your Mac Life and learned of this site from there.

Brand spanking new to photography! I used point and shoots before but nothing serious. I decided to get serious about this when I started using my Mac to repair photos.
My family is from New Orleans and lost generations of photos in Katrina. I've been collecting what survived from various family members, scanned them in and started to restore what I could. Although a very sad effort, this got my creative juices flowing and a decided to get more involved from the photography side - plus it's something my wife and I could do together.

I'm looking forward to the community and learning as much as I can! As you can see from the picture attached, I've got a loooong way to go!!
